Greetings Blarneyballers,
Happy New Year...hopefully you all had the chance to ring in 2012 in Blarneyballer style!!
Obviously there are no tournament results to report at this time, but there is still information to be passed along. Most importantly the 2012 schedule dates are set. There are some details still forthcoming, but the dates and most venues have been nailed down. The most current information is available on the Schedule page of the website.
The 2012 Awards dinner will be held on February 18th at the St. Helena American Legion Hall. If you happen to still have possession of one of the perpetual awards, please make arrangements to get it to Dermot Burke, David Hoxsey or Barb Kelley ASAP. (Note: Perpetual Awards are the ones that list winners of said award for each year).
The February version of the newsletter will contain all of the 2011 stats and awards and should be available prior to the Awards Dinner.
Last order of business is membership dues for 2012. Dues for returning members are $85. Returning members also have the option of a part-time membership for $50. Part-time members maintain their active status in the Blarneyballers and NCGA but pay additional fees for each tournament played ($10 for one-day, $15 for two-day events). As of the writing of this newsletter, the date has passed to renew membership and avoid an additional NCGA reinstatement fee. Please contact Jim Williams ASAP if you have not yet renewed your membership but would like to do so.
Looking forward to seeing you all out there and a great 2012!
Cheers,
Mike Sanchez
